Womens society “sowei” whole head helmet mask in image of a female with small slit eyeholes, high broad forehead with a strong linear hairline. The elaborate headdress is composed of teardrop shaped plaits, and squared panels with a square tiered talisman finial on top. Edge lost on finial, minor surface wear. High burnished brown-black patina.
